HOLY MOLY!! I started the "couch to 5k" program tonight. Yes tonight. I don't want to hurt anyone's eyes running during daylight hours. You take a fast 5 min walk, run, walk, run, walk, run, walk..... I downloaded a program on my IPOD that plays music and plays a jingle sound letting you know when it is time to run/walk... pretty nifty. You do the program 3 times a week and supposedly you will be running 5k at the end of 9 weeks. We.shall.see. I wasn't so sure I was going to make it through the first day, but I did - sore legs and all. It feels good making it through the first day because I am so stinking out of shape. Just FYI it will probably take me a lot longer than 9 weeks to be able to do this....but ya gotta start somewhere!!
