UNKNOWN Amazon tribe

Sometimes I really think that I live in a bubble. I ran across these pictures of an unknown Amazon Basin tribe. Honestly my little mind never even considered that there may be tribes out there in the world that have never had contact outside of their world. Can you imagine what they were thinking when they saw a plane hovering over them as they took pictures of them? In one of the pictures it appears that they are aiming/shotting up to the sky towards the plane. I’m thinking they are thinking that the plane is some outer space ship with aliens inside……. All I can say is WOW…….

Members of an unknown Amazon Basin tribe and their dwellings are seen during a flight over the Brazilian state of Acre along the border with Peru in this May, 2008 photo distributed by FUNAI, the government agency for the protection of indigenous peoples. Survival International estimates that there are over 100 uncontacted tribes worldwide, and says that uncontacted tribes in the region are under increasing threat from illegal logging over the border in Peru

Spenser really is an awesome kid! The other day he was talking to one of his teachers and she asked him how his brother and sister were doing. He told her that they were doing good and he asked her “do you know my sister has Down syndrome?” She said – no I didn’t, I am sorry about that. Spenser said- “Oh don’t be sorry, she is just fine and we love her to pieces”. He then went on to show her a picture of Ashlyn and she oooed and ahhhhed over her! Pretty cool experience isn’t it? I think she won the lottery when it came to having an awesome big brother!

Lifehouse "Everything" skit

The video below is a skit that is being performed around the country in churches and at youth groups. The song is by a group called "Lifehouse" and the song is "Everything". The youth at our church performed the skit a few weeks ago at our church and it was awesome. Right before the skit was performed our pastor was speaking about "addictions" and other problems that satan tries to throw at people every day. After the skit, youth and adults were practically running to the altar. The skit in this video was NOT done by our church but I am hoping that they do add it to GODTUBE.COM OR YOUTUBE.COM There have been several people in my life faced with some of the same things that the main character in the skit was faced with. I only wish that their outcomes had been as good as this skit portrays :(

I have read articles about the skit and how it has changed so many lives. Some of the things that she is faced with may be a little confusing to tell what is happening since you aren't seeing the video live, but I do hope that the message is recieved!! No matter what we battle in this lifetime, God is still right there through it all. ENJOY!

Don't hate me because I am cheap!

I have been doing the grocery game for a little over a year now. Harris Teeter grocery store had triple coupons today, tomorrow and Saturday. I got roughly 40 items for $6.75 .... whoo hooooo! I have been known to do better than this at triple coupons, but I will take it! I have gone to triples and honestly, the store owed me money when they hit total....so I usually throw some odds and ends at the candy/gum counter to make up for the credit! I plan on hitting them again before it is over!!
Here is a list of things I got today for $6.75....
4 boxes of Eggo toaster sticks
3 Red Baron Pizza's
Ortega refried beans
Ortega seasoning
3 Kraft Pasta salad kits
1 container sour cream
2 Colgate toothpastes
3 toothbrushes
Snyder's pretzels
4 bags of Goldfish crackers
4 - 4pack Dannon yogurts
5 boxes of Special K bars/snacks
3 boxes of pasta
1 pack of wheat buns
4 Gillette shaving gels
1 bottle Cranberry/Pomegranate juice
1 bag of rice
If you are interested in getting cheap/free stuff check out hotcouponworld.com This is where you can get all of the info to start getting super cheap or free items for you and your family! HONESTLY... I rarely pay any $ for shampoo, baby wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair items, deoderant, shaving gel and tons of more household items...since starting the grocery game! I have even been known to get a pack of pull-ups for $3.50 and sometimes for free!

Baby got gas....

Ashlyn thinks it is hilarious to sit around amd make this sound to make everybody laugh!

Sneaky, sneaky

I know that this won't seem funny to most of you, but it sure was funny in our household. Ashlyn is 8 years old and although she does lot's and lot's of naughty things she has always been the kind of - in your face- kinda gal. If she was going to eat paper (and choke of course) she would do it right in front of you. If she wanted to put bouncy balls in her mouth and choke- she would do it right in your face. WELL, Miss Priss has learned a thing or two from her brothers about being sneaky. In the last oh, six or eight months we have caught her sneaking around to do things that she knows she should not be doing. One day I saw her walk into the room, put her hand behind her back as she saw me, and then try to walk out of the room without being caught by me. I ran after her and she ran so fast and cackling as loud as she could. When I caught up with her I found the sneaky turd had coins in her hand and YES they would have gone straight into her mouth had I not caught onto her. Yes at 8 years old she still puts a lot of CRAP into her mouth. Long story...no short version.

Last night she had brought some paper into the play room and was tearing it up into tiny pieces all over the floor. I let her play for a little bit and then told her that she needed to pick up the paper and throw it away. Out of the corner of my eye I watch her stuff paper up under the rug and honestly I couldn't believe it because she never tries to hide her messes. A little later I saw a bump in the rug and it made me chuckle because I thought....oh no she didn't. Well, oh yes she did! I found a bottle of glue and some torn up paper under the rug. Sounds minor to you...but for us it was sooo funny because her personality has been changing so much lately and you never know what crazy thing she will come up with next.

See the bump in the rug?

Another thing she tries to hide is chewing on her hair. This drives me NUTS!!! She obviously has oral issues going on in her mouth because she is forever putting something in her mouth or chewing on things that she shouldn't be chewing on. In the past she could have cared less if I walked in and caught her chomping down on her hair. But now if I walk into a room and she has her hair in her mouth she pulls it out of her mouth really fast, looks at me like...what? I wasn't chewing on my hair or anything..... TURD!

We had our annual Mother- daughter banquet at our church tonight. Ashlyn sat through the speaker pretty good until near the end when she let's out a big ol' squealer from her fanny. I could have just died! There wasn't anyone behind us but there were two ladies in front of us and their backs were shaking with laughter. I really wanted to crawl up under the pew and hide.... Ashlyn of course thought that it was hilarious. I was just praying that no one thought it was me :)

Here is a picture of the wild woman... she was not in the mood for pictures today let me tell ya! Here is the only picture that I got where she wasn't closing her eyes or bopping me upside the head.

Check out Rico Suave, aka Mason, I mean Johnny Stark.....
Johnny went to his cousins shop today and got some highlights in his hair. She also took some red spray and sprayed the top of it (it washed out in the bath tonight-thank goodness) You can see the red better in the second picture. After that we ran into the grocery store and he just had to have a lovely silver necklace from the kiddy machines and he ended up with a fake, I mean real (ha) necklace with boxing gloves. He is just stylin' this evening...man he is so cool.... I bet he has all of the "hot chicks" chasing him around at school tomorrow!

Will the REAL Tony Stark please stand up?

I swear my son gets funnier and funnier every day. The other day Mason asked me if I would start calling him Tony Stark. I said okay, why do you want me to call you that? Mason- well I just like the name. So I told him that was cool I would start calling him Tony. Now if you know my son even just a tiny bit you know that he is destined to be a super hero in the future. Several weeks ago my husbands friend/neighbor told Mason that he would take his son and Mason to see Iron Man went it comes out. So at the beginning of this week Mason gets on his dads cell phone and calls Mr. Mike up to remind him that Iron Man was coming out on Friday and don’t you forget it! Mason is sooo funny! He took Mike’s cell phone in the living room and was talking to Mr. Mike in private. We were around the corner howling at him because he wouldn’t DARE let Mr. Mike forget about the movie starting on Friday. So on Thursday Mason calls Mr. Mike again….hey you know Iron Man comes out tomorrow- are we going to see it tomorrow night? So they all take off on Friday night to see Iron Man and I just have to tell you….my son was as high as the sky coming out of that movie! He went on and on about how awesome the movie was and that he got have his picture made with the REAL Iron Man that was there on opening night!

So today I am reading a review of the movie and guess what I found out….Iron Man is aka Tony Stark….
who is aka Mason Williams

Our newest adventure will be to see who can find a Iron Man costume for my crazy boy Mason, I mean Tony Stark
